Lorimers 4 Cricket is a family run business with over 50 years’ experience in the game. Bill Blenkiron, who has run and worked in the business for over 40 years, played first class cricket at Warwickshire from 1964 to 1974. He also toured the Far East with the M.C.C. and is a qualified coach. Bill's wife Margaret, has helped tirelessly over the years helping in the business in every aspect.
Their son Darren also followed in his father’s footsteps and was one of the first signings for Durham C.C.C, playing 1990-97. He has represented England U19s and toured Pakistan and still enjoys playing and watching cricket at his home club around the corner at Bishop Auckland. We also have another ex-First Class cricketer to offer expert advice, Gary Pratt, who famously ran Ricky Pointing in the 2005 Test at Nottingham, still plays cricket for Minor County team Cumberland and pro's in the North East of England at NYSD club Richmondshire CC. Our team is completed by Jacob Dinger, Ian Nicholson and Andrew Walker, local cricketers who have years of experience within the Sport and handle most of the social networking we provide.
